So figuring out what to start with as I entered the blogging world was tough. So many thoughts, ideas, and just stuff comes to mind. I just couldn't decide. I finally figured the best place to start was to introduce you to my family!
First and foremost there is my handsome, wonderful, smart husband!
He is my best friend! We started dating 3 years go THIS Saturday and we have been married 1 year and 4 months. It's amazing how 3 years of dating can feel like 10 years and like we just met yesterday all at once! Anyways, I am so thankful for my husband! He is my sweet, southern North Carolinian man! He works as a Student Pastor (Kindergarten - 12th grade) at GO Church (Greater Orlando Church) and he does an incredible job at it! He has a huge heart for people and loves the Lord. He goes to the gym every day..and I mean every day. He has the best sense of humor and always knows how to make me laugh. And he loves sports, all sports...ESPN, MLB Network, ESPN 2 and every other sports channel in existence is on every moment we are home...watching or not...it's on. Thankfully he is extremely good at carrying on a conversation while the TV is on...or it would drive me crazy. I have the best husband!
Then there is me :)
Let me start by saying, I am a Texan, born and raised. I may be a resident of Florida..but I will always be a Texan at heart! Florida is third best...Texas, North Carolina, Florida...and it will forever stay that way. I work full time as the Direct Marketing Coordinator for Cru as well as working part time doing "free lance" marketing and design for Light Team Realty and the church as well as my full-time role of being a wife and "pastor's wife". Needless to say...I stay very, very busy! I love to reading, writing and Gilmore Girls! I will read just about anything I can get my hands on and I have seen every season of Gilmore Girls at least 3 times! I love people, but I am a task oriented person...give me file folders, excel spreadsheets, color coded anything and I am in my element. :)
Next, are our sweet puppies! Since we don't have kids yet...we talk about them like they are our kids. I never thought I would see they day that I loved dogs this much. I really have never been a dog person. But Brian and I love our puppies! They add lots of love and life to our house! and if you are wondering about their names...yes, they are names after the movie Forrest Gump, which is Brian's all time favorite movie!
First is our dog Jenny!
Jenny is our year old puggle...half pug and half beagle. She is our "wild child". She is always getting into something or just acting crazy! She is Brian's girl! She has the strangest personality of any dog I have ever met. She wants to play ALL the time...so much so that she barely lets you pet her for more than 5 seconds cause she is so hyper active! She hates when we leave or if I even close the bathroom door without her. She is a funny dog! You will hear many stories about her I am sure!
And finally is my sweet baby Forrest!
Forrest is our 12 week old Maltese..and I LOVE this dog!! He is my dog for sure! He is such a sweet dog! He loves to play and cuddle (unlike Jenny) and he is seriously the cutest dog I have ever seen! He is fearless...thank goodness or him and Jenny would have never made it together. Even though he is only 2-3 pounds and Jenny is at least 18 pounds, he plays with her and barks at her like he is bigger than she is! He is full of life and love :)
I love my little family so much and I am so thankful for all the things God has blessed us with! Our life here in Florida that started a little over a has been a journey...a journey only God could have planned and carried us through! Its has its ups and downs, trials and joys, but we are happy, so happy because no matter what we have each other!
Stay tuned for more Musings of a Mull :)
